DJ Skee sat with Snoop Lion for an in-depth interview. He spoke on his Reincarnated album, Diplo, gun violence, working with Drake and making amends with former boss, Suge Knight.

Snoop on Suge Knight:
“Time heels all wounds. And then being a bigger man. And being one who accepts responsibility, being right or wrong. I like saving lives, I don’t like taking lives. If that means putting my hand out saying I’m wrong, I apologize and be cool, I’ll do that. As opposed to me pulling a gun out…and me doing something vicious to you…He gave me a voice to speak.”

Snoop on why he put Drake on the “No Guns Allowed” Record:
“I knew about that certain shooting incident in Toronto. I always love Drake. I love him for his writing. He delivers great party records. I wanted him to say something on this record. But I feel like something and address some things that needed to be said. And take the party out of it for a minute.”

Welcome back to Death Row? Snoop Dogg was at the AV Club in Los Angeles on Monday and snapped a picture with former label boss, Suge Knight. For many years, Snoop and Suge have been at odds, but it appears that they’ve finally buried the hatchet. California love redefined.

Uh, Suge does know what we all saw last weekend was a hologram, right? Anyway, during his chat with LA’s 93.5 KDay, the former rap mogul says that he believes ‘Pac hasn’t seen the after life yet.

“Maybe the question is … Pac’s not really dead … Pac’s somewhere else. Nobody seen Tupac dead. The person who supposedly cremated Tupac … this guy got about 3 million dollars .. personally from me … cash … and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again … he retired and left.”

Over the years, rumor has it that Suge Knight hung Vanilla Ice off a balcony during a deal dispute. While conversing with Interview Magazine, Van Winkle spoke on the encounter. Alright stop, collaborate and listen.

“From the money that Suge got from To the Extreme from me, he started Dr. Dre. “The Chronic record came from the funding from my record; Tupac came from the funding of my record; Snoop Dogg came from the funding from my record.

I read the story, and I heard it, and I had to defend it nine million times, but he never took me to the balcony, threatened to hang me over, or anything. Rap music is gangster, it’s been gangster from the beginning. Yes, Suge Knight took some money from me, and he did take me to the balcony, explained it to me. He was actually nice to me … … [people think] I’m so bitter about it—I never went to the police, I never did anything like that. I knew better … [But] it’s funny how this story has evolved and been polished up and changed around to make him a monster and everything— hell, I’m still friends with Suge Knight … I look at it like I’ve invested in some of the greatest hip-hop music in the world.”

Terence Brumfield caught Suge Knight talking to his former boss and Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine, last night in Los Angeles. Only God knows what they discussed, but maybe this was the topic of conversation.

So far, this Friday is turning out G.O.O.D. for Kanye West. Yesterday, a Miami judge threw out the lawsuit, Suge filed against him in May due to lack of evidence. Suge was seeking over $1 million in damages after he claimed the rapper, who hosted a party at the Shore Club in Miami, was responsible for lack of security when he was shot.

Back in 2005, Suge Knight was shot in the leg at an event hosted by Kanye West at the Shore Club in Miami. Now five years later, the former Death Row boss has filed a lawsuit for $1 million claiming that the club and Ye failed to provide adequate security. The trail date is set for Dec. 6th in Miami. No word whether Yeezy will be in attendance.
