One of the great highlights from last night was the Tribute To Whitney Houston. Honoring the late singer was Monica, Brandy, her mother, Cissy Houston, Gary Houston and an oh-so-slim Chaka Khan.

Sparkle doesn’t hit theaters until August 17. But featuring clips from the motion picture, Whitney Houston’s legacy lives on in her celebratory video with Jordin Sparks.

Mixed emotions filled the MGM Grand Garden this evening as the ceremony paid tribute to Whitney with John Legend’s rendition of “The Greatest Love Of All” and Jordin Sparks reciting “I Will Always Love You”. Afterwards, Bobbi Kristina accepted the Millennium Award on her mother’s behalf.

On the day that Whitney Houston’s cause of death was revealed, Monica and Brandy performed at V-103′s “Soul Session” at The W in Atlanta and covered the late R&B singer’s hit “You Give Good Love”. After the jump, they perform their new single.

Earlier today, family and friends said their final goodbyes to Whitney Houston during her private funeral, which was live streamed for fans at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. Above, Alicia Keys sung “Send Me An Angel” while Stevie Wonder and R. Kelly pay their tributes after the jump.
