Public Enemy Rocks Out With The Roots

Last night, Public Enemy appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and performed “Bring The Noise” accompanied by, you guessed it, The Roots.
But what was with the weird audio dropouts?? It didn’t sound like they were editing out curse words although maybe (to my shame) I don’t remember the lyrics too good?!!
