    Keep your head up, Starks!

  3. oip says:

marketing was so poor on this release. someone competent needs to run that label.

i don’t think most people even realized that the nigga was dropping this today. the same goes for a lot of recent releases (e.g. q-tip…brilliant musician but has wack marketing team behind him, fat joe….minus the 50 promotion lol, etc)

this industry execs need to be fired.

  4. rocstar says:

i guess this is jay-z’s fault

  5. J says:

Hence: “New year. Same story. Damn”

  9. I hate when cats blame poor sales on wack marketing or wack record labels. UMG marketed the sh-t out of Q-tip’s album. They had ads everywhere for that sh-t. What do you think they could’ve done more when, as great as the album was, it didn’t have any hit singles??

In the Drake, Weezy, Cudi era, Starks’ old ass tried to compete with those young un’s by making an R&B album?? WTF?? C’mon son! His bredren Raekwon even showed him the blueprint with OB4CLII. Take it back to the essence of what fans love about you! He should have made Supreme Clientele II.

Honestly I thought Ghostface’s album was great…and I’m not a stan or anything. Had a nice smooth concept and showed his versatility. I cannot believe a quality album like that only sold 19k…damn.
