Fast forward this crappy interview to the 4:46 mark and watch Nicki speak on her BET Hip Hop Award Cypher. She defends her prepared raps and admits she was a bit nervous rapping amongst Joe Budden and Buckshot.
I hope Nicki do 500,000 the 1st week when her solo album come out, after she drop its gonna open alot doors to underground female rappers. I like Nicki… She could be a Superstar Icon one day..
I dont really feel her rappin wise. I feel as if shes not bringin nothin new to the game but I do agree with her on this whole “freestyle” thing. Hardly anybody goes off the top of the dome anymore. MOST of the time when u hear a cat spit its memorized,and its nothin wrong with that. Specifically in that cypher,KRS was the only 1 to really go off the dome because he has mastered that skill. Im a MC myself,trust me I know.

YN the interview was alright but as I have said before, Nicki Minaj is the best female out, not cuz she looks good…because she can spit! Now very few of the greats (Foxy, Kim, Salt N Pepa), have written one hundred percent of their own raps…so I wouldnt go to the bank on that, but she has the flavor that I wish Remi Ma had.

You got underground females like Jean Grae, Eternia & Tiye Phoenix for more of a Hip Hop vibe and female talent like Rasheeda, La Femme Nikita & UnladyLike for more of a Rap vibe! Even Minaj was cool she just should have came better!
