peace to michael eric dyson for putting this together. some of the work our culture’s most innovative writers have put together took poetry and literary writing styles into uncharted territory.
…might i add, with no intense study of the western canon of “legends” like shakespeare, twain, t.s. elliot, etc…and with no college education, just natural ability a unique perspective and an attentive eye, Nas and others otta be in that same tradition.
