As far as album sales go the estimates are pretty accurate 99 percent of the time so you just keep on holding out hope but you will be disappointed. As of right now it’s looking like your boy John Mayer is gonna out sell 50 because he’s gonna movie between 275,000 and 300,000 copies. I’m a marketing and sales manager and i promote products all around the worlds.
the following reasons are why 50 will not sell much:
1. Not much people like Gangsta rap music (i know most white ppl don’t) . 50 cent album is gangsta and not commercial(or what white kids wants) except for couple of songs.. tell me one full gangsta loaded album that sold?!!!
2. the album hardly features anyone, jayz wouldn’t sell if he didn’t put Alicia keys and Rihana in his album,, etc. this is because the popularity of pop or r&b music.
3. radio radio radio, baby by me is not a huge radio hit. and it’s the only one in the whole album!!!
4. dance or club banger song?!!!! nothing
5. 50 thought the leak is good, but i think it’s bad as people now can see how aggressive this album is and they rather buy baby by me in itunes instead of the whole album.
anyway, i still think 50 will sell more than 200k just because of his name and his fans around the world.
