On the red carpet at Diddy’s 40th birthday last Thursday, Lupe reveals that he’s dropping a new mixtape this week.
Lupe said the yet-untitled mixtape will be him going in over other MCs’ beats. “I got four days to figure it out,” he said about the title. “I’ve been dabbling with some names. I don’t know yet.”
about time man fuckin way too long between putting out material man no mixtapes nothing inbetween lasers better be fucking amazing for amount of time its taken

Honestly can’t wait to hear it . Whoever songs he jacks should be a little nervous , cause in my opinion he’s better than 90% of the rappers out now . Now I know other Lupe heads may get mad at me for saying this but if he EVER decides to “Dumb It Down” just a lil’ bit……. he could easily take the game over . You’ve gotta put the metaphors down where they can reach ’em but they still feel clever for getting the line . Jay was the master of that . Wayne and them are just too easy with the metaphors and similes, lightweights with it . Lupe is actually a 5 or 6 listen per joint minimum just to get all he said .
He obviously wants the acknowledgement of being a top MC in the game . Being understood will help him to be more appreciated . It’s too concentrated for them Lupe , dilute it just a tad and they’ll drink it all . Then once you hook ’em take ’em where you want to and they’ll follow . Hook ’em first though .
