Gilbert Arenas Suspended From NBA
ESPN reports that NBA commissioner David Stern has suspended Gilbert Arenas indefinitely after bringing a gun into the Washington Wizards locker room. For every game missed, Agent Zero loses $147,208. Here’s what the former All Star said in statement:
“As I have said before, I had kept the four unloaded handguns in my house in Virginia but then moved them over to my locker at the Verizon Center to keep them away from my young kids. I brought them without any ammunition into the District of Columbia, mistakenly believing that the recent change in the D.C. gun laws allowed a person to store unloaded guns in the District. On Monday, December 21st, I took the unloaded guns out in a misguided effort to play a joke on a teammate.
Contrary to some press accounts, I never threatened or assaulted anyone with the guns and never pointed them at anyone. Joke or not, I now recognize that what I did was a mistake and was wrong. I should not have brought the guns to D.C. in the first place, and I now realize that there’s no such thing as joking around when it comes to guns — even if unloaded.”

Man. Finally came back to find out he will probably never play at the All Star level he once did, found out Shaq of all people was stretching his girl out for him, now suspended and possibly giving Washington the loophole they have been looking for to drop that overblown contract of his …. whew .
I know this was dumb and his fault totally, but who could blame him if his state of mind ain’t quite right at this time ? I actually feel bad for the dude . I hope he has something or somebody real to lean on, cause everything and everybody superficial is bout to be gone .

He deserves the suspension. Some athletes reach a certain level of fame and can’t handle the spotlight. You have to show a bit of humility and common sense, whether or not you believe you’re wrong in a situation like this. I’m not a fan of David Stern, but if I were commissioner I would have done the same thing. Especially after seing that photograph of Arenas in the middle of his team before the 76ers game, shooting finger pistols in the air.

There’s no point shining a light when someone thinks they’re already covered in the sun. Plus, he’s probably a thirteen year old non-minority kid who just wrote that for kicks. Dumb moves all over the place. Hope the story that’s being spun is the truth and not an attempt to cover up the initial story we heard as having been what happened. If he’s telling the truth, it was a bone-headed move and the punishment might be a little steep. Hope it works out for him.
It always bothers me to see a person make a mistake and then be expected to pay for it with their lives and/or careers, especially if it really is a mistake.
He’s never been the sharpest knife in the drawer but who thought it would ever come to this for the man they call Agent Zero.
