Taking the crown as the best single of 2009, is Drake’s “Best I Ever Had.” Before becoming a radio staple and the root of his $2 million deal, the track appeared on his mixtape, So Far Gone. With wingman Boi-1da on the boards, Drizzy tapped into a forgotten fanbase: The ladies. In a charmful baritone, he warmed hearts with cozy lines like, “Sweat pants, hair tied/ Chillin’ with no make-up on/ That’s when you’re the prettiest, I hope that you don’t take it wrong.” Evidently, nobody did. Just ask your girlfriend.
Hands down. Couldn’t agree more.
Oh, and first? [I always wanted to do that!]
WOW i couldnt guess it …..i had no ideal this song would be number #1 SMH …. this wasnt dat hot it was jus a good spring/summer song
Where Gucci Mane – Wasted at??? that was the best song of 09 BURR!
Not to mention it won a Grammy
@ SoICeyBoi
Since your 2nd comment should have been your 1st comment, you shouldnt have commented at all!!!!
But yea Wasted was str8…..But we both know that you dont believe that was the best of 09
Dope song, but I’ll be okay if I never hear that song again.
Why wasnt Ems Beautiful on the list? It should have made the list
and one of my favorite track for 09 as well.
Everything’s about Young Money or Jay-Y on this shit. What about Eminem?
All yall Eminem fans tell him to make a hit……….Eminem never had a number 1# song
////////expected it was either drake, pit bull, lmfao, lady gaga daddy yankee or soulja boy. 2010 is gonna be shitty with people supporting stupid mediocre lyrics////////////
^ not true icy boy hes had alot of top ten hits but ,
NO Relapse had no radio single hitters, Beautiful was the best off relapse but not good enough for those bangers coming out in 2009, if u think so maybe u should unlatch ur mouth from the dick.

DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!
Crack a bottle hit number 1 on billboard dumb azz smh
Ha, I called this. And yeah it does deserve to be #1. It blew up and was played EVERYWHERE, off a MIXTAPE of a previously unknown artist. When has that happened before ever??
None of em’s singles did what this song was able to do…I can say this objectively because I’m not a drake fan (j Cole for me) but you gotta respect this mixtape song that became an instant hit..on all types of radio..no it wasn’t the most lyrical no it wasn’t the deepest..it jus was able to attract the attention of many different people…not a fan but he is talented and you got respect it..the only other person to come from nowhere and impact music more than drake in 09 was Susan boyle lol she is parked on top of the charts…and hold on wit all the hate I’m jus making a comparison
This is a solid choice for number 1 and I dare say it’s the undeniable choice . Look what that 1 song did for that nigga . He got a VERY lucrative deal , fame , every artist either gettin’ him on their joint or cosigning him as next up, his debut album is probably the most anticipated collection of music of 2010 and the list goes on and on .
We STILL wouldn’t know Drake if not for “So Far Gone” and we wouldn’t have heard of “So Far Gone” if it wasn’t for “Best I Ever Had” . is it my favorite single ? No. But I don’t think it’s YN or B Dot’s either (I’m guessin’) . These are based on more than personal preference, and the caption under the pic says it all . Well done on the singles IMO .
I’m with Rich 1……this shit is beginning to be a big bunch of bear turds. Man, BDot, YN…I don’t give a fuck…WE, as the fuckin’ supporters, need some real rap discussion here. I mean, back to the basics fa’real…Jay-Z is fuckin’ 40, Wayne is on the verge of becomin’ a pile of weed-dust. Drake album will not do the numbers it’s supposed to…quit ridin’ these same muh’fuckas nuts. Talk about the up-and-coming artist, ones who you will be suckin’ off in a few years. Quit the games, jump on the wagon before everyone else does. Oh I forgot, if they ain’t ‘hot’ then it ain’t worth of a squirrels nut.? Rite.
So Lose yourself wasn’t number one.
So The real slim shady wasn’t number one.
So without me wasn’t number one.
Smh crack a bottle wasn’t number one and broke a ringtone recor at the same time
u niggas wack
