The animal lovers over at PETA responded to Kelis’ open letter. Here’s what they had to say.
I hope that this finds you well. I’m writing today because we’ve been inundated with phone calls and e-mails from folks alerting us to photos of you wearing a fur hat and coat while out in London over the weekend.
Please know that animals killed for their fur endure immense suffering. Foxes, minks, coyotes, and rabbits—and even dogs and cats—are bludgeoned, strangled, genitally electrocuted, and even skinned alive for their pelts. If you enjoy the look of fur, renowned designers, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Stella McCartney, and Vivienne Westwood, couple fashion with compassion and use only faux fur in their lines. Sorry, PeTA but I still care more about human life. And if I could afford a mink coat, you can bet I’m getting the real thing. Never been a fan of fake stuff. (Sale or clearence absolutely but not fake.)
What about supporting sweat shops? All the clothes and products made in third world countries, are usually made under the worst possible conditions. Some of the owrkers in those countries are kids. But how many Peta employees or supporters do you think have worn or used something that said “Made In China”? Or does the human race not care for other humans?

Some of you people are fucking disgusting…i dont understand how people can watch something like that and not correlate that behaviour to humans, which is being done by the american military to the “insurgents” of their own country. I’m trying to make a valid point, you can’t place a value on life therefor you can’t say a life is worth more then the next just because you have a physical or emotional attachment to it, we live, breathe and bleed just like everything else on this planet and you need to have me type of respect for all life becauset’s fragile and can be taken away without warrant. Show some respect for peoples morality and people will show some to yours…get it dickheads?
