Marsha’s debut album, Late Nights & Early Mornings is scheduled to drop this June. So until we have an official single, here’s a self-produced cut. Take a listen, then put it on re-re-repeat.
to me, this concept comes a little too soon to that “shorty’s like a melody in my head” joint. ain’t the most novel concept anyway, but still. love the golden age Timbaland feel of the drums. much love and respect to Marsha. I mean, she -did- write the last great Michael Jackson song.
@Can dont sweat it – this song isnt on the album, and after hearing an exclusive first listen of the album last night, it does NOT sound like this song…
the album is mostly ballads, mid-tempos, and of course babymakin jams LOL… it is a very R&B/soulful album… and the songwriting is on another level…

Reminds me of Sean Garrett’s “grippin on the bed”
But another GREAT TALENT dre dropped the ball on.
is she still signed to aftermath?
[…] from her upcoming debut, Late Nights & Early Mornings over the world wide web. Doubt, “Put it On Repeat” makes the final cut. Go ‘head, say […]
no, she’s not on Aftermath – she was only signed to them as a songwriter, not artist… she’s dropping her SOLO DEBUT on J Records
Not bad but she’s capable of so much more…
Sexy. Song’s sexy, and she’s always been sexy. Seriously, she’s like the U.K. Mary J. Blige, but without the albums. All the dopest rappers put her on hooks. Hell, she even wrote a song for MJ. Not many artists can say they’ve done that and it be a success.
If none of you have her mixtape “Yours Truly”, you arent real Marsha fans . . . .
A big shout 2marsha,you sohuld do a duet with amy wine….adore your singing.Glory b 2 God
