Today, the fashion world mourns the passing of designer Alexander McQueen. The 40-year-old couturier was found dead in his London home after committing suicide. Kanye lamented the loss on his blog.

Be careful not to judge, though. Suicide is a real thing. And it’s on the rise with Black and Hispanic males. It is cowardly to us because we are on the outside looking in. But when you get so bogged down in depression and hopelessness, like he clearly was, you don’t think tomorrow will ever come. It’s the devil’s work fam. Trust! It’s like a mind trick. Don’t judge – you don’t want to ever find yourself there.

I respect your opinion fam. And not that I disagree with you or anyone else, but the motivation for suicide isn’t ever about the size or number of tragedies, it’s about depression – which is an evil and cursed thing. Depression prevents a person from seeing the big picture. I’m telling y’all, its’ the devil’s work. Glad you were able to keep it pushing through your past tragedies though, fam.
