With the ink dry on his Interscope Records contract, Yelawolf spoke to Rap Radar on signing to the label and his lessons learned.
I hate to say it but he sounds like he doesnt really have a clue, buisness wise, of what the fuck is going on with his life.

“Nurture” lol. this guy does have talent but he will never have mainstream appeal, hes just not that good. he is very consistent with his style and hes very precise but its just not what most people want to hear and they wont mind it being on the radio but its not gonna sell….sorry but thats just the truth… lots of talented rappers never make it mainstream or sell records ie killah preist, AZ, jay electronica and even ppl like talib dont get the shine they deserve. oh yea btw all those rappers i mentioned are better then yelawolf
Yelawolf is just average he could do better, he’s talented….but yet again he’s not gonna make it!!

I wish him the best but my opinion is I think his only talent is his flow. It’s the country twang mixed w/ an impacable ability to control his breath. When it comes to his wordchoice, the execution of his subject matter & the actual sound of his voice, he loses. He does got a couple bangers like “Lick The Cat”, “Good 2 Go” etc but overall.
