Drake & Mavado Shoot Video In Jamaica

Earlier this week, Drake and his entourage jetted to Jamaica to shoot the video for Thank Me Later‘s second single, “Find Your Love”. According to the Jamaica Star, the Anthony Mandler-directed video, began production Monday and spotted the rapper and crew on a beach with bikini-clad females and bonfires by nightfall. Mavado, who plays a major role in the visual, shot his part yesterday and the three day shoot wraps up today.

That’s it. Label me a hater all day. Fuck Drake. No album over a year after So Far Gone. So what is has a release date? Every hip-hop album that matters gets pushed up, not back. Drake believes his own hype. In every interview he speaks as if he’s already on Kanye/Jay/Em/50 status. Fuck hip-hip music that wants to feel important, instead of being important. After two underwhelming singles and video from Thank Me Later, any objective fan can see that Drake’s momentum is slowly dying out. Remember, 50’s rollout of Get Rich or Die Tryin? If Drake would’ve released his album around December of 2009, maybe this current backlash wouldn’t be happening. It used to be that any Drake post (even something that’s a non news story like this) would have at least 50 comments already…truthfully speaking, his handlers are dropping the ball. I mean, B.o.B.’s buzz is on its way to surpassing the industry’s poster boy. If Drake is going to be annointed rap royalty by default, I think I may need to find a new genre of music.
