If they were going to relaunch it they could have at least went with a new brand name. FUBU is a tainted brand which can never regain its prominence. Once the bums got ahold of it, it was a wrap.

Funny shit. I still have one Fubu sweater in the closet. Bought it before they basically ceased to exist. I never wear it though. Shit is just too baggy. I don’t even know what i was thinking when I bought that shit. But they sure have a legacy in Hiphop. I wonder how much money uncle L made of that shit.

When I was in high school, I remeber guys loving their Fubu… and their Sean John… and their Rocawear… and their Phat Farm. Course this was back when Eminem had a clothing line. (Does 50 still have a clothing line?) Pretty funny shit considering the fact I went to a very white school. Thank God I don’t see that all the time now.
I think the Fubu brand should stay dead. If they want to start a clothing line, they need to give it a different name or try to target the people who don’t remember the brand when it was popular the first time around.

THE BLACK URBAN WEAR MARKET IS OBSOLETE!!!! NOT EVEN THE BLACK DEMOGRAPHIC IS CHECKIN’ FOR THIS!!!! FUBU SHOULD STAY IN THE PAST!!!!

I can’t see it working. All those brands were able to excel because hip-hop was the driving force behind pop culture, hence LL as the face of the company. These days that isn’t the case. Trying to have a “hip hop” clothing line isn’t going to succeed in 2010. Now, if they change the direction (and name) and make it more upscale, they may have a shot.
These failed celebrities always seem to be living in the past and praying that lightning strikes again. Good Luck to those brothers.

Yeah.. I can’t wait to cop that 4XL Fat Albert FUBU Sweatshirt and 13 pocket jeans… SMH. LMAO
For a race that has seemingly dictates Pop culture, we sure are lacking creativity and quality. This “sequel”, “relaunch” theme is lame.
