Next Wednesday at 10 PM, MTV plans to air an hour long documentary on Drake’s rise to the top. In this preview, he speaks on the life on the road and the support from his mom.

Drake is being shoved down our throats. Pause. Mtv does not give hour long specials on hiphop artist EVER, Its rare .. They would have done one about waka flocka if thats the case. It’s not that Drake’s not talented he is and the album isn’t bad but an hour long TV special? It just seems premature and forced. I’d rather them give that tv time to a legend or an dup and coming artist that really needs it.
Plenty of rappers have gotten their own 1 hour special on mtv so i don’t see this being preferential treatment. Kanye (making of late reg, life & times), Eminem (they let him takeover an entire day in the mmlp era), etc. If you appear to be a big deal, they’ll give you airtime and dickride. This is nothing new with mtv. they’ll do this for the next “big” thing like they always do.
