Thanks guy for taking all the fun out figuring out the song samples. I got the “Changes” and the “What Is Love?” sample. I didn’t realize Em had so many on this album. But sampling’s a normal thing in rap music. Fans of other music genres like to use the sampling as a reason why rap sucks (“Why should they get uspet when people steal their music? They steal.”) but I thought it encourages creativity since they have to re-tool an already established song to make it their own, and in a way it shows admiration to the other music genres.
About all the number talk. Numbers really doesn’t mean much. As long as the artist has the ability to carry on, and can draw in money and fans, it doesn’t matter. Snoop Dogg doesn’t have a huge buzz when he drops an album but he still makes money. It took Ozzy 36 years to get a #1 song. You can’t measure success on numbers. Well, you can… if you’re a superficial person who’s only interested in awards and recognition.

All i can think of is em just shredding a verse on almost every fucking track. No need to skip around every track deserves a listen. Recovery is hands down a better rap album than drakes.
