During G-Unit’s interview with Tampa Bay’s 95.7, 50 addresses the negative comments he receives for his straight to DVD films. Despite the backlash, he says he pockets $800,000 for each project. Interesting. Then at the 4:25 mark, he gives an update on the possible move to Def Jam.

That’s not necessarily true, Foxx. Theatrical grosses only account for a fraction of a film’s total earnings. DVD sales, television rights, and other ancillary revenue streams account for the bulk of money made. Plus, there’s more distribution channels so a project can reach a much wider audience.

I just watched this interview and I have to say that Game made the right descision by leaving,cause I don’t understand why yayo and Lloyd banks can’t express theme selves in an interview, they are artist and it looks like they are being sucked out by 50 and I am saying this as a fan.

Once again 50 makin moves for the love of the money and not the craft. This time in a whole other genre of entertainment. We witnessed the previous movement, where he makes a shit load of money but in the end has very little love to show for it. I see he hasn’t learned yet. 50 Cent ran his mouth about Kanye, saying how his album, Curtis, would easily outsell The Graduation album, then tried to discredit Kanye from rap saying no true hip hop heads feel Kanye. 50 Cent even said that if Kanye outsold him, then he would retire from rap….what happened- Kanye outsold 50 Cent and Kanye’s album was critically acclaimed, while 50’s album Curtis was being called the worst album of his entire career.
