It might just be a smart move, when you think of interscope and def jam those labels are very well known and arrogant and just dont give the attention artist need. Even though def jam was an option for 50 cent & g unit it still under the same parent company as interscope which is universal. Capitol records is still a major label but its the smallest of the Big 4 majors. The parent company is for Capitol records is EMI a UK based label.
You really cant talk shit about the label if it has acts like coldplay and katy perry. If 50 gets the control he wants he can make the decisions himself, this is what he has been wanting to make the executive moves he feels confident about.
