Bobby Ray and Lupe cross the high wire with Janelle Monae for the remix to her original cut. Sounds like her verse was tighter than both of theirs.
Janelle Monae >>>>>>>>>>>> everything
Lupe fan till the death… but Janelle>BoB>Lupe on this track easyyy. Dope song though. Video is meh.
lupe’s verse goes over most peoples’ heads yet again. dude did just as good as any of them. they all fucking killed it. and this one janelle verse >>>> anything nicki minaj has ever done in her career. fuck that cunt, she aint the queen of anything.
id rather hear her than Nicki minaj if she blows she could be a problem
Def would rather hear this chick over Minaj any day!They all bodied this track!I love Lupe and B.O.B!!!This chick is fire!!!Love the track!!
Janelle Monae is gonna be what Lauryn Hill couldnt be…..
Lupe is king, when is Lasers comin out? It’s gettin ridiculous now, Atlantic Records really must be wankers.
i love janelle monae. she is my favorite of all time. the archandroid is by far album of the decade.
wow, just when you think she can’t surprise you anymore, she goes and does this. amazing!!!
i can’t get enough janelle
I LOVE IT WHEN RAPPERS DISPLAYS DIFFERENT FLOWS. NICE!!!!! (fab’s voice)
WAKE UPTO GOOD MC’ING, ITS GONNA BE A GOOD DAY!!!!!
DO YOUR HOMEWORK HIP-HOPERS!!!!!!
@mmkayy CO SIGN!! She did give me that Lauryn feel. Of course Fiasco & B.O.B. never disappoint. Good music, welcome back. We’ve missed you.
you niggas talk all this shit, aint none of yall gonna buy her album outta support when it comes out. Atleast fans support Nicki Minaj…
SMH
XOXO
^^^^^^
@Giselle
Um Janelle Monae’s album is already out
And Nicki’s still doing features
i agree @mmkayy
she IS gonna be what Lauryn couldn’t, unfortunately. i don’t think L-Boogie was strong enough, nor had the vision, sense of purpose, or self-assurance that Janelle has. she’s clear about being here to take over the world. and just calm and collected wit it. that’s a powerful lil lady. niggas was waiting for Lauryn to get it together and make a comeback for a long time… now it’s like “lauryn… huh, who…oh! nah… cindi mayweather is here, joe. we good.” l-boogie is still a queen though
@Real Talk
Nicki has a song on hot 100 top 20….cuz she gets support. Janelle is nowhere to be found
lupes verse didn’t go over my head. shit was mad simple imo, just felt the other 2 were better suited for the track.
man lupes verses lately remind me of that shit jay said “just cos u dont understand a nigga dont mean that he nice”
given im a lupe stan anyway but his fan base is disbanded B Cause his lyrics don’t mirror when he first landed see
I love this song and Janelle Monae can sing her ass off. ArchAndroid hasn’t left my iPod yet. Honestly one of the best R&B/Alternative albums of this year. Watch it get slept on by the close minded fucks…not to mention, when she takes he hair down, she’s pretty cute. And she’s weird, so that makes her even more cute cute and desirable. All 3 verse were dope as hell. These are the best 3 artists Atlantic has, besides Tip…I jus wish they would stop bullshittin’ and release Lasers dammit.
@Ac@pella!,
I’m a big fan of Janelle Monae too. I bought her album and I LOVED it.
Janelle Monae’s verse>>>>B.o.B. & Lupe’s verse.
GREETINGS!!!!
welcome to the meeting of the minds….that be thinking all the time.
and i love every single part of b.o.b’s verse. he is dopetastic on this one.
and more rhyming from janelle….let’s see what she has to say!

Damn. I HONESTLY do feel sorry for the self proclaimed “pure hiphop fans” who didn’t rewind Lupe’s verse and shake their heads out how nice this dude f***g is. And i promise im not being a sarcastic jackass at all. i reeeally do pity you because if you really are a hiphop head, it makes me feel bad to know that for some completely unexplainable and inexcusable reason, you are missing out on that feeling hiphop gives you when someone (lupe) consistently sets a lyrical bar that noone is even close to touching. Said it before and ill say it again…
Lupe Fiasco is unequivocally the all time number one unchallenged for the throne greatest lyricist in the history of hip hop music before during and after hiphop music began. Period. Case closed.
Obviously have a pretty solid grip on my opinion so any and all arguments to the contrary are obviously futile.
Oh, and “Sounds like her verse was tighter than both of theirs??”
lol. Dude who helps run a hiphop website CAN’T be ignorant enough to honestly believe that, so for that reason i say, nice attempt to get something started B. Dot. lol.
God damn Lupe is ridiculous.
“Greetings, welcome to the meeting of the minds
they be thinking all the time bout the defeating of the blind
following, swallowing, drinking of the time
all the traditions, of, keeping in align
I prefer to Figure-8 rock all night ’til the candles on my mantle stop
and it’s paid programming on, every single channel watched
televised revolutionaries on the chapel tops, shouting, down at Babylonian accounting
medieval mathematics keep us average in amounting
but I surpass that, I dropped out of they math class
I am, cause I thought now my tightrope’s like a sidewalk..blaow!”
Outside of Em, who’s fucking with this dude? 0.o
@Mars Blackmon
Lupe is complex in what he raps about. He’s very fluid and smooth. That dude is one of the greatest lyricists alive in any genre. Outside of Em, nobody is messing with this dude. Of course, I’m not going to compare the two. Em is more about relating to it and yet he’s very creative in how he presents his stories and lyrics. Lupe will tackle just about any subject even if he isn’t dealing with that particular subject. Two very different artists.
But yo, don’t sleep on that Bobby Ray verse. That shit was one of the best verses he’s written.
“she IS gonna be what Lauryn couldn’t, unfortunately. i don’t think L-Boogie was strong enough, nor had the vision, sense of purpose, or self-assurance that Janelle has. she’s clear about being here to take over the world. and just calm and collected wit it. that’s a powerful lil lady. niggas was waiting for Lauryn to get it together and make a comeback for a long time… now it’s like “lauryn… huh, who…oh! nah… cindi mayweather is here, joe. we good.” l-boogie is still a queen though”
I do not think so Lauryn sold over 22 million copies on the miseducation alone “this information coming from Commissioner Gordon 2008 August Rolling Stone Interview”. I do not think Janalle Monae ‘s album will even reach 5 million you guys are just dreaming. This is like comparing Justine Timberlake to Prince or MJ
