DOPE!

Now this..this is what i call Hip Hop..there’s only a few kats with this sort of skill..and Kanye aint one of em!..you damn kids smh…
^^^
J. Cole would kill Mos Def and guess he inspired him? Kanye
^^^ young man whats are u snorting…lol…MOS DEF would write j cole bars give it to him and still beat him…J COLE is nice on the mic but MOS DEF a Lyrical gIANT.
^ I dont even know what u were trying to say exactly @ Ultrakid, but dont make up opinions for artists.
J. Cole has consistently listed Mos Def as one of his chief influences, along with Master P, Kanye, Jay Z and Talib Kweli. And I notice even in your roundabout way of sneak-dissing Mos, u werent stupid enought to put Kanye head to head against him, cuz Mos Def would EAT Ye.
The release date is HUGE- I had just about given up hope on this thing ever seeing the light of day. Ski Beatz is the most underrated producer ever

Relax I’m just messing around but seriously Mos Def, J. Cole and Kanye are all great but Mos Def is a better rapper than Kanye and most rappers in general but he’s definitly not on Talib Kweli or Black Thought’s level.
@Haters/Stans,
Man, I think 24-hour Karate School is the only Ski Beat production I’ve ever listened to…what else did he produce?
Ski Beatz produce Jay-z’s Dead Presidents
Oh yeah…I knew his name sounded familiar
@Ultrakid
Ski did a lot of the early Roc-A-Fella records, specifically on Reasonable Doubt and In My Lifetime Volume 1. He also did a lot of production for Camp Lo. After Roc-A-Fella split he went with Dame, and lately hes been doing the 24 Hour Karate School with the Creative Control artists. He also produced all but 3 tracks on Curren$y’s Pilot Talk album, so if youre interested in his recent style I would definitely recommend checking that out.
@Haters/Stans,
Well I’m not really into Curren$y but I’m really into Roca-Fella so I probably heard some of his beats without knowing it was him.
Hov needs to get some beats from ski hes killin it.. Oh i forget hes down with dame itll never happen..
@ Outlaw
why bring someone else down just to big another man up? Why not just big that man up? I don’t understand why you have to clown Kanye who is actually credible (you should have named someone like a OJ Da Juiceman if you really wanted to get your point across) just to big up Mos Def. Hip Hop is really losing it for me. It seems like the genre these days has lost its fans and instead is being chewed up, spit out, and over analyzed by fans turned haters turned critics. The blogs have given some people this sense of authority and entitlement perhaps idk but it is becoming a major problem. I miss the days when people just listened. Didn’t matter who produced it or what corner of the map he/she were from or even what was really being said. I miss when you could just sit down, listen to a record and just enjoy it for whatever it was. Now that I think about it I don’t really ever remember living in such a time. I am just one of the few smart enough to know what it really means to be a fan of music and a fan of Hip Hop.
