My 35 min film ‘RUNAWAY’ will premiere simultaneously on MTV BET MTV2 MTV.com BET.com VH1.com next Saturday October 23rd @ 8pm est
After a few screenings overseas, Ye’s film, Runaway is set to premiere in the USA across the two major video channels a week from tonight. As previously reported, Barbie will be narrating the film in a British accent. Get your popcorn ready.
i bet its about a gay kid running away from home cuz of biggotry and finding himself in Kanyes House learning about man love.

35 minute moving portrait of a naked woman taking a dump. Thats what im expecting, and his stans gonna say he genius SMH. I’m looking forward to the album and every GOOD Friday track but fuck everything else he do. Kanye puts naked woman on his site, his stans say its art. The difference between the pictures of woman on Ye’s site and the majority of these ridiculous rap videos is the women on Kanye’s site are being photographed by some of the most renowned photographers in the world and the woman in the video are being recorded by Pookie from around the way. Regardless they both are art but one is better then the other for numerous reasons.

Ohhhh I get it, its okay to have naked woman on a website as long as its a renowned photographer taking the picture..Its only the picture that matters, not who is taking it.
But lemme use this example, in the Power video there was a Edited and Uncut version. The uncut version had naked women while the regular version they were clothed. Now, did the women being naked do anything to enhance the overall artistic value of the video? You thought the original version, with the women clothed, was pretty artistic right? So, why would you have them naked in another version? Whats the point? Point is, Kanye having naked women in pictures is no different than anyone else unless theres a point to it. Hey, I love naked bitches as much as the next dude so I dont even know why im debating it….Keep having naked women Kanye, just dont nobody call him genius for it is all im saying. That was the point of my first comment.

You have to ask the artist(Marco Brambilla) that question, but if I could throw out my own interpretation it has to do with the hedonism that comes with power. But to your greater point you have to recognize the difference people like Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick who use violence, nudity and profanity in their films for a more artist reason then someone who’s just making a slasher film. I didn’t say the averaged rap video’s weren’t art(and nether does Kanye) but the people that he features on his site have studied and worked for years to find there voice and artist view while someone just shooting a nonsense rap video hasn’t put any more thought into it then “lets pore some expensive liquor on this bitched”. There is a gigantic difference between the video for Hype Williams/Jay-Z “Big Pimpin” and the video for Nelly’s “Tip Drill” . Both are art but you can see that work and thought that was put into one and not the other.

Im expecting a nonsensical storyline with random bits of cool imagery. The stans will drink the kool-aid and all that disagree will be labeled as “conformists”…im actually a kanye fan but this whole “genius” thing is absurd, hes a very talented artist imo, but not a genius by a long shot.
