CYHI GOT HIMSELF A NICE MIXTAPE. I ADMIT I WAS A COUPLE WEEKS LATE CHECKING IT OUT BUT YOUNGING DOING HIS THING ,RING BELLZ IS THE SHIT
Cyhi’s lyrical ability for a southern cat is mad nice, his hook game is also just as good.
But realtalk in an industry dominated by an artists image, son shoulda not cut his braids off.
Even Ludacris suffered with white folks not taking him seriously when he cut them off.
no homo, pause, no homo
@Doe Money
What are you talking about? I don’t know any artists that are really taken seriously with braids anymore.
wonder why theyre playin ‘i just wanna party’ at cyhi’s mixtape release. it’s dope tho, love his lyrics oh and ray ban vision with a trak is a banger, but maybe that’s old news. keep it up cyhi, i’ll buy your record whenever it comes out
@Niyemortal
IT aint about being taken seriously, but white people love a nigga more if he has braids. Look at Ivo and Wayne. Im just saying Cyhi is too damn talented to be overlooked by just looking like a regular cat. No homo
@Doe Money
i feel where ya coming from, but I think he’s more accessible with the cut-hair. TRuth be told, Rap/Hip-Hop is something you do from the heart, but you want respect, accolades, awards, and money as well. Can you imagine being at the Grammy’s as a rapper with mad braids and all? Not knocking people who have that, but you know as big as rap used to be, it was never as big as rock and country because we didnt keep it as an art form that people can take seriously. There are some here and there that do, but we need to make it much bigger than that. I feel its nice for CyHi to keep the clean look, especially with the whole Rosewood thing because now that he’s with G.O.O.D. He’s gonna get a hell of a lot fo exposure if he plays his cards right. And as for white people loving Wayne, i think that was more of a hype thing if anything because at the time when a lot of cats “started” liking Wayne was when Lollipop was out instead of the dudes that remembered him from the Hot Boyz days. Mad white people like Wiz Khalifa right now ctoo, but let’s see how long that lasts.
