Before the end of the year, NBC plans to make Saturday Night extra Live with Eminem and Lil Wayne performing “No Love” on the sketch comedy show on December 18th. If all goes according to plan, this will be Weezy’s first televised gig since his release from jail earlier this month. Tune in.

Give me a break. A large portion of Eminem’s work is made up of songs based in reality: be it being broke, dealing with social issues, politics, racial issues, bullying, parenting, and love/romance. That’s arguably the main reason why he has so many fans, because he can spit real shit with emotion or tell a story and have it be impactful. Let me know when you hear Gucci Mane making a Lose Yourself or When I’m Gone. Or even when Rick Ross decides he’s talented enough to put out a Love the Way You Lie. And don’t forget to give me a ring when Lil Wayne makes a Not Afraid.
Fact is, Eminem isn’t a one dimensional rapper and there are a metric shit ton of other artists and MC’s who recognize this. Game, Joe Budden, Royce 5’9, Kanye West, Nas, T.I., all these cats have mad respect for Shady for reasons beyond him selling well and being able to spit. He’s a TRUE MC, has a multitude of flows, can speak on a VARIETY of topics because of personal experience, as well as other topics like politics and social issues which very few artists can do (Nas does this well, for example).
