Kendrick Lamar phoned Angela Yee during Lip Service on Shade 45 last night and commented on Dr. Dre’s endorsement earlier this week. The South West shall rise again!

j. cole will sale at least 300K, and thats is good when you are talking about debut albums. How is Klamar more versatile than J. Cole? J. Cole makes his own beats, and they are all pretty good, and as far as lyricism, J. Cole is definitely more diverse. Cole can spit about social problems, the stress of being in college, music for the ladies, and also party friendly music. All that I have heard from Klamar is music where he is discussing social problems; that is all good, but hip-hop was created to entertain people at parties, and an MC must be able to do that, which is where J. Cole separates himself from KLamar, songs like Blow Up, Higher, and others make J. Cole light years ahead of Klamar. Plus the beats Cole makes are pretty clean, so he is also more diverse as an music artist.

@yee i gotta agree lyrically kendrick is more potent than j. cole, J. cole is nice but kendrick beats him on different variations of candences, flows, similies, metaphors, more vocabs and especially multi-syllables. I would even go as far as to say lyrically kendrick is closer to the kinda of lyrical level that jay elec is on that j. cole (listen to ignorance is bliss, little johnny, dumb it down, his verse on i do this remix, the heart pt.1, lookout for detox, kurupted, heaven & hell all those verses cover every aspect of lyrical rhyming i have yet to hear j. cole spit with a wider range of vocabs, multi’s and switched up rhyme patterns)
As far as subject matter goes kendrick & cole are even. Not only does he talk about social issues but hes made songs for the ladies too (ex: she needs me), plus he can make some more lighter stuff (p&p, michael jordan, alien girl etc.) and unlike j. cole kendrick made lines & references calling out the illuminati & secret societies (which j. cole dont have to but i just thought i’d point that out). So thats my reason why i think lyrically kendrick is better. Still love j. coles music tho so dont get it twisted

Kendrick Lamar Has everything that a great rapper needs, he has a nice flow, his lyrics are filled with realism and his story telling is on point, he reminds me of a Nas, and i am not saying he is at that level but thats the only other artist i could compare him too, an artist that makes great music but isn’t on top like he should be. Now with Dre on Kendrick back this could be that push that he need to come up on main stream, like Jay-Z gave to J.Cole another great Artist.
