According to Hits Daily Double, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj will take the number one and two spots respectively tomorrow on the Billboard charts. Give or take a few hundred copies, Ye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy reportedly pulled in 518, 775 copies while Pink Friday clocked in at 371, 049. Those are are some monster numbers.
UPDATE: Kanye pulls in 495,800 copies. Nicki tallies: 375,200

Of course he had promotion but what single off that album was even close to being as big as “Stronger” or “Heartless”. “Runway” was the closes thing to a hit and even that didn’t exactly set Billboard on fire. All things considered those are impressive numbers.

Damn, no top 10 hit for Ye. No promotion for the last 2 weeks. Controversial album cover, controversial album name, had the whole fucking country scrutinizing him for the whole Taylor incident, the leaks that happened like a month earlier, controversial statements (staying real 100% of the time though), niggaz thinking Runaway and GOOD Friday would ruin the album because he put the songs on, no proper interviews other than 1 or 2 radio interviews, 2 performances, and my nigga comes back at number 1 with better numbers than 808s. Kingggg.
Hopefully for the next album since he finally broke that ‘will he still be successful’ thing, people are more accepting as a whole and he can do shit properly (proper promotion, not dropping his first single 6 FUCKING MONTHS before the album, not dropping all the songs and than changing them) and dropping a radio friendly song like Stronger/Golddigger/Heartless.

He should’ve released All Of The Lights as a single b4 the album dropped with Rihanna on the hook, that thin would’ve soared into the top 10! Gold in a week, is still very good numbers though, one of the best debuts of the year. Now I wonder what “Watch My Throne” is gonna do? Every album Hov had put out from Blueprint on, had did at least around 450k the first week, (American Gangster did with no big singles at all, and wasn’t even available on itunes). So I think that these two together with the right single(s) could pull about 600k-700k maybe. Time will tell…

But Kanye’s was the best album of all 3 of them. I dead ass got all 3 bootleg, from a torrent not this site, listened to it and bought the best one. I got Kanye’s. Banks album is only worth it if you buy the deluxe version(about 18 or 19 bucks). Yeezy!
