I always thought (ok, not always, but ever since ‘Kast went on hiatus and Pimp died) that Big Boi and Bun B should link up and start the ultimate southern rap group. It seems like both of them got overlooked by the masses in favor of their flashier partners, but it would be incredibly hard to find 2 more consistent MCs in the rap world. Besides that, both of them were more involved in the production side of things than 3k and Pimp C, so from a musical construction point of view, it could turn out pretty crazy. Im generally not a fan of current southern rap, but these guys together have plenty of experience from a time when niggas did it right.
And speaking of UGK, Big K.R.I.T. sounds just like a young Pimp C. “K.R.I.T. Wuz Here” is definitely one of the best debuts of 2010.

Rookie of the year is Cole no doubt. Either Cole or Wiz cuz of what Drama already said. Black and Yellow aint a radio pop song or a club banger, its just a chill laid back Khalifa song. But Cole rap better and put out Mixtape of the Year hands down (MM4 and Wale’s tape would be runner up maybe) so I give it to Cole. Plus touring, Who Dat had a little buzz to it, his features like All I want it you. Dude done it all this year without even dropping an album trust theres more to come. COLE WORLD

Imean, dont get me wrong i aint no Joe Budden fan either. And I loved MM4. And I aint trying to be bias, but I was bumping MM4 for awhile until Cole tape came out and I forgot all about MM4. MM4 is built like a album you right. Production wise? Best tape out there this year, and Coles would be lower if it was just production wise and Wales would be higher too. But I dunno, I like Cole as a rapper more than Budden and Wale and Wiz. I relate to dude more “a real ass nigga who just so happen to stay in school” unlike most rappers who just talk about weed and shit dude rap about life, just like in See World. Budden do too

@Underground Outkast…you’re mistaken about Big & Bun being more involved in the production aspect than the other halves of their respective duos. Check the production credits on ‘kast cds particularly the double disc. There’s a great interview w/ Pimp C on cocaineblunts where he talks about producing, playing instruments, etc.
