After doing his one-two thing at S.O.B.’s last night, the NY Daily News published a write-up on Reek Da Villian. He speaks on his new mixtape The Gift, meeting Busta Rhymes, and his troubled past.
“Jail was the best thing that happened for me,” Williams said. “When you go to jail it’s just you, you’re by yourself,” he said. “You have to meet new people, learn how to become friends with strangers and pick out who’s good and bad, and overall it just turned me into a man and it showed me what I didn’t want to do. “

From a Mike Epps joke…
“Grandma, I got my GED in here, I’m reading more and working out…Fool, you didn’t have to go to jail to do all that, you could’ve did that on the streets!” LOL
Why is this newsworthy…he had to go to JAIL to become a man? Please let me know if I missed something?
Thanks for listening.

Thanks, now you’re gonna have more black men thinking it’s cool to go to jail to become a “man”.
Dope!
getting anally raped in prison is considered making u a man?
@1, nah, Mysonne dropped a hot-ass track called “In jail”, it goes against the comment about jail being the best thing. If that’s what RDV claims, let’s see if his music speak for itself, too early to judge him musically, however no one should judge him personally unless you know him, if not take Murder & Kiss track “They don’t really know me”, & swallow it!
He did say it was the best thing for “him”. I don’t think he’s saying everyone should go to jail to learn interpersonal skills. I don’t think he’s being an advocate of it as much as he’s explaining how he grew up from it. I kind of feel that’s what rehabilitation is about, n’est-ce pas?
