First off I love when people say his career is over and he will never have the money of Jay. This dude has his hands in so many different interests, most which have brought him even more money (Vitamin Water, $200 Million Movie deal) etc. Jay made his money off selling RocaWear and starting his own imprint, Granted they both have money, with Jay having more only because of his marriage to Beyonce. But you have to give them both credit. As far as Jay’s longevity, do we forget that he had a lot of shitty albums between Reasonable Doubt and the Blueprint, a lot of people act like everything he touched went platinum, when before the blueprint 3 he couldnt even touch high sales numbers.
@chilly you can go after numerous rappers for not giving back, but Jay even said on his interview with charlie rose that building housing is not their fight they need to get the community to improve themselves, and as for the hated curtis jackson, he has done more for the community than most (community parks built, having that day at the teme park last year for free, bone marrow drive, I dont see anybody else out there doing that. Back in the day you would hear of Suge Knight handing out Turkeys, and 2pac singing to moms on mothers day, but you dont see that too often.

He’s done tons of charitable work from Curtis Jackson Park “a.k.a. Baisley park” , The bone marrow drives, community trips for the kids to go on, all sorts of shit for the betterment of the children in his hood, plus all the G-Unity charity stuff he does that doesnt get reported by the media/blogs. And i dont think it has anything to do with him not wanting people to know, he just dont advertise for props, in my opinion.
