Boom bye bye Buju. After 11 hours of deliberation, a Florida jury found reggae star Buju Banton guilty on cocaine charges. In December 2009, he was accused of intending to distribute more than five kilograms of coke. The case went to mistrial last September, but was retried earlier this month. A week ago, his LP, Before The Dawn won a Grammy for Best Reggae Album. Gargamel faces up to 20 years in prison.
Damn. Hopefully, dude can get his appeal going on…

SMH he should have taken the 2 yr plea bargain or holla at Ti
i feel bad but you gotta no better especially in florida…they have really harsh laws against drugs and they don’t mess around….the fact this guy sings about not doing coke probably wasn’t good either being he looks like a huge hypocrite…how were things so bad though he was caught trying to sell 5 KILOS?? thats a whole lotta blow..especially coke..shit if that were just weed he’d be pretty damn set for a while but coke costs so much more thats hundreds of thousands…he was obviously doing just fine if he had the initial money for the purchase…either way i feel bad for the guy he doesn’t deserve this

I’m still confused at the whole situation — he said he was tryna impress the Guy cuz he had music connections… u been in the game for mad long, what cud he have provided u?

YN You could at least show some respect and use a more resent picture of the youth… Sites like this deserve to be shut the fuck down… Posting incriminating pictures of the man… Guilty or not show some fucking respect!
Who ever said Mavado is better than Buju is smoking serious crack. You clearly know nothing sbout music.
This is a case of entrapment. Buju got set up BAD. This is a sad moment for Jamaica & the reggae community. Stay strong, Buju.
