Three days before the 14th anniversary of Notorious B.I.G’s death, ESPN‘s Outside The Lines talks to Shaquille O’Neal to discuss his relationship with B.I.G. and the night he was gunned down in L.A. For the children born during the Clinton Administration, below is Biggie and Shaq’s duet, “You Can’t Stop The Reign”.
BIGGIE SMALLS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE RAPPER! THE 90S WAS THE BEST ERA FOR HIP HOP!

PUFF KNOWS WHO KILLED TUPAC & BIGGIE… PUFF IS LIKE CANCER HE DESTROYS PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN SATISFACTION
What’s the song right when they talk about Shaqs rap career around the 1 minute mark?
this was some good stuff http://reverbnation.com/ajb4
kinda sounds like lil cease might have saw the shooter !
Excellent Post, and you know what Im sure all of us can agree…..and i related to this comment as soon as he said it. When you do listen to biggie and any of his rhymes (and i know im kinda stating the obvious) it really is timeless….like you do kinda feel like big is still around when you listen and hear his music. Maybe this is something hip hop has done successfully and that is kept his legacy strong for so long…..you begin to remember BIG, but not that he’ s dead. Its funny cause every time i see Biggie I always envision him so much older than I am, but im 24 now and its just crazy how things are. Same with Pac I suppose. But anyways, RIP Biggie.
@Tim Lee VA Stand Up:

Pac Over Bigge. Mind You Im From New York
Im just stateing facts@ghost. My role model would murder biggie the G.O.A.T bitch!
Im a biggie fag and stan!!
PUFF IS THE MOST POSITIVE NEGATIVE PERSON TO BE AROUND WITH ..
Cease is an idiot lmfao you’re not sposed to say big woulda still been alive if Shaq was in the car. Honestly it prolly wouldn’t, dude was ready to kill, whoever was in the car someone woulda died MAYBEEE it wouldn’t have been BIG but you don’t actually say that and make Shaq feel like shit.
why do people gotta be disrespectful to someone who is dead?? if you think pac of eminem is greater than biggie save it for another post..this isn’t the time or place. I only wish neither pac or biggie was dead cuz pac big and em have the most mainstream power hip hops ever witnessed and a song with them would be epic…and not sound pop….none of them sold out to mainstream pop but come out with rap styles like no one else that the mainstream recognizes over the rest. well anyways didn’t even mean to go off on that but RIP BIG and i’ll be smoking blunts for you on the 9th…
Happy Birthday to the nigga Shaq. Most dominant center I have watched. First ballot HoF…etc etc
Biggie. Man, I prefer Pac over Big ×10 but Big still that dude he had a few joints I liked alot and I cosign @Tim lee
I don’t know what the fuck Cease talking bout, even if Shaq did make a difference that day Big still would have gotten taken out eventually. I mean the nigga was in hostile territory and was constantly getting death threats, it was bound to happen one way or another.
this track was crazy. all the shit he was goin thru an still was droppin shit hard as this. My how hip-hop has change. you got rappers ready to off theyself over a song (lupe)
one more thing don’t mean to be adding all sorts of shit here but for the guy who said cease must of saw the shooter, he did. atleast he said he did and he identified who it was also..it was a los angeles police officer who was never questioned in teh shootings but who worked for suge knight…way more to it though so take a look at the movie tupac and biggie…it’s all about the murders and corruption and has an ex police officer do a pretty thorough investigation that only leads to one shooter…who also was identified by big’s body guard as well as an lapd cop says he has records that could prove that henry or harry billups was the guy who killed biggie..and maybe even pac too. seriously an interesting movie i think it will change all your opinions or thoughts of what might happened to big and pac if you watch it….sure made me wonder after realizing what a real piece of shit suge is..
Shaq murdered Biggie on dat sh!t… LOL
Thanks to Shaq for putting out a song from his private vault.
RIP BIG

B.I.G. really is the GOAT…The only other MC that could give Biggie a run for his money is Nasty Nas, but B.I.G. still has a slight edge over him! I think most of ya’ll clowns on here even debating that really don’t understand lyrics, concepts, just the overall presentation of words this man had

@ Jake
Watched the movie but the guy who films and interviews the documentary WAS SO FUCKING ANNOYING AND MADE ME BELIEVE HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT HIP HOP…..couldnt stand to finish it.
lol I always forget Shaq was a rapper..
RIP BIG
@Belize…
R U fucking serious??? Eminem is a good MC but he is no way better than B.I.G., Kool G Rap, Nas…etc
Whut thee fuck r u smoking on? I hope ur joking around. I like Marshal Mathers as an MC but u need to chill with that shit… Em have not really prove he is the greatest.. He might be the greatest comedian MC but that’s about it… I dont give a fuck about 80 million worldwide records sold. U dumb fuck- Belize dont know what real MCing is all about…
Amir Muhammad and David Mack killed Biggie.
@belize maybe he could come close before but now he fucking doesnt worth shit he cant even compare to the 100th biggies part….eminem is bullshit today …….i would love if the good old 1990- 2002 rap comes back but no way :/
Biggie and Shaq is example of how powerful the fusion of hoops and hip-hop culture is in America. Since 2009 June has been proclaimed as NBHHCM (National Basketball & Hip-Hop Culture Month). June 6, 2011 the NBA will be celebrating its 65th Anniversary (June 6, 1946) of being founded. The NBA was founded on June 6, 1946 in New York City.
@Truth: Amir Muhammad and David Mack killed Biggie.
^
i believe it too. I mean, the cops found a black impala at his crib! Coincidence? i think not.
this was a good piece by espn…didnt know shaq and BIG were that close. I love that “you cant stop the reign” track. I dont even wanna speculate or debate the whole murder thing. that shit still irks me to this day. Hearing about the death of biggie was one of the saddest moments of my childhood. I think i cried that day.
@ripper. Eminem hasnt proven to be the G.O.A.T!?? Are you retarded!? Every album em drops is classic, on & off the charts. BIG only dropped 2 albums. How is THAT proving ur the best???

Whoever produced this is ignorant. Why would they blame Shaq? Horrible thing to do to him on his birthday. Waste of production. Waste of time.
