Who cares what any of you think. Half of y’all hop on this forums to hate anyways. She’s dope. She’s very talented. You should go watch the clip of her doing this song acoustically; it showcases even more of her live vocals. I think she’s actually pretty cute as well. But it’s definitely a plus that she writes her own lyrics and can actually perform and sing live. The personality is dope. That’s what sets her above people such as Rihanna and Katy Perry, in my opinion. There’s a little more sincerity to the music. (Although I know Katy Perry does a little bit of writing, but not as much). She’s not just a pop pawn. This music is infused with soul as well. “Price Tag” is a great song to hear on the radio. It follows the formula, but also just has a great message . People always want to call something corny that’s positive, and then turn right around and complain about all the negative music that comes out. Something’s gotta give.
As for B.o.B, I’m clearly sure everyone was on his nuts when he was on the come-up, and seemed exclusive to blog fans; but now he’s successful, still rapping the same way he’s always rapped, and the fickle “underground” fans have showed up right on time to hate him every step of the way. Congratulations.
Dope song, dope album (“Who Are You”), and a dope artist. I wish her the most success. I think some of these American artists should take notes:
