According to Billboard, a source has confirmed that Antonio “L.A.” Reid will leave chairman position and take his talents over to Simon Cowell’s Fox talent series, The X-Factor which begins airing in September. Contestants beware.

LA Reid is the chairman at Island Def Jam until Decemeber, he is in negotiations to go to Sony Music when Doug Morris steps down as CEO, All of Sony Music is getting an upgrade in management. The X-Factor is offering a 5 million dollar contract courtesy of Sony Music
It only makes sense for him to be part of the show as he will be soon working with Sony Music.
