Remember when Detox was coming out? Well in a recent interview with Tim Westwood, Snoop says that Dr. Dre has the wrong people in his environment including the absence of The D.O.C. and himself is not a good thing.

i think there’s a lot more in play with regards to those statements about him and DOC not being completely involved in the record. And to the majority of you who think he’s right need to think this through better. If Dre is known for bringing the next new hot sound, the next movement, why would he bring people who were paramount in his OLD sound. The fact of the matter is that he needed to surround himself with a fresh group of really talented people and trust his own instincts. New faces with a new vision result in a new sound. Snoop hasn’t had a successful record in how long??? Why would Dre need Snoop to write for him when he can’t sell a record himslef? Although Snoop may not agree with the current direction of Detox, he has no track record to speak of in the last 5 years to give any weight to his negative opinion.

I’m impressed with Snoop actually freestyling in the booth, you don’t see many rappers do that and have it sound good. He’s got a great voice and flow, even though what he’s saying isn’t very substantial, I forget sometimes why he is one of the greats. This was a great performance by him.

@Black Shady. From a hip hop and marketing perspective that shit would have been ridiculous. Woulda definitely shook the whole game up a bit and definitely got the deserved buzz back for something we’ve been waiting 10 years for. Regardless what ever happens. THEY NEED A UP IN SMOKE 2 Tour. Hopefully not everybody ego tripps about going on tour all together kus theyre all head liners themselves. But from the fans and for the fans they need to do that.

I have to disagree w/u bruh. Both Chronics wud b SHIT w/o Snoop & D.O.C. The fact that DOC is not involved in Detox as a fan KILLS me, HE IS DR. DRE!!! The point u made about Dre bringin’ in new cats to work with is nothing new. The difference tho, is he always had Doc there. Tho Dre is the ban, they’re a trio @ the end of the day( ok, maybe I’m giving Snoop too much credit). They ALL need each other. Snoop is speaking the truth.
