Styles P Talks Upcoming Mixtape

Before Styles P releases his Master of Ceremonies album in September, he will drop The World’s Most Hated MC mixtape in the next few weeks. P recently sat with MTV to explain what we can expect from the project.
“It’s just gonna be hard. It’s gonna be like the old feel, but kind of a new feel. Expect another crazy in and out with me and Kiss. Expect a joint with me and Louch. I’m just gonna kinda go ape on it. I’m gonna do original beats. The mixtape game kinda switched now, because I don’t want the Feds knockin’ at my door for using Weezy and Jay-Z and Kanye and everybody’s beats, so you kinda gotta go original.”

StylesP is better than all three of those rappers he named. Lol if he took one of their beats it would be 20times better than the original.
@immortal yes it’s been happening for years but since the mixtape game is so big the feds don’t really press niggas too hard about it, but I do think I remember an incident with 50 using the J-Kwon Tipsy beat on a mixtape once, the record company wanted some type of royalties or some shit
Styles P’s last album, Super Gangster Extraordinary Gentleman was a solid album. Beside that Ray J track.

Why do dudes keep putting out mixtapes when they dont make much loot from them.(hustling Backwards 101) Spending money to release a free mixtape to stay relevant. In the 90’s dj’s actually made loot of the mixtapes. You counldnt go uptownn and get free doowop, clue and S&S tapes.

These cats face an interesting situation. They were once great. They have a catalog and they still have skills. But they don’t have a market. That’s not fair but life isn’t fair. Also a lot of their content their fanbase grew out of. You can’t take your wife and kids to see them. I’m glad to see them diversifying. Being top 5 dead or alive isn’t enough to put bread on the table and put your kids through a top tier university. I just hope they weren’t blowing all that loot.
