With a blunt in one ear and Just Blaze’s instrumental in the other, Freddie Gibbs displays his raps during last night’s visit on PNC Radio‘s The Combat Jack Show. He major!
At some point will any hip-hop show not ask a rapper to freestyle during an interview? In any event Gibbs is tough, dope bars/flow as usual. I wonder if he’s ghost writing for Jeezy yet? Cuz Lord knows Jeezy needs it.
One of my favorite new cats doin it. Highly impressed. Check me out http://t.co/nJ1KYZx

The interview is good, much better than the freestyle. Gibbs looks like he’s getting comfortable. He had a good answer to the question as to when his album is coming out. He said that he’s not worried about that. As long as he’s getting a dollar and staying relevant he’s not too concerned. I think it’s a good answer especially since the whole CTE camp needs to be behind TM103 right now. I think that album is going to have a tough time. Whatever numbers it does are going to look pretty ugly after WTT and Carter 4. Not that it’s a numbers game, but that’s how the major labels play.
