VH1 aired a two-hour documentary last night about the rise of crack and hip-hop in the mid-80s and early 90s. The film was narrated by Ice-T and featured accounts from RZA, Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, Too $hort, and B-Real. Bonus clips can be found on VH1’s site.

that was DOPE
The documentary was great and very informative. I learned a lot about this topic and generation. Some stuff I knew a little bit of but seeing it and hearing interviews from people that were in the midst of it all made me understand it better. I encourage others to go watch it. I love collecting knowledge about things right before my generation. Hopefully we can keep the same from happening to our generation because some of that stuff was CRAZY!!
