A$AP Rocky Signs To RCA
Well, that was fast. After releasing two acclaimed videos, Harlem rapper, ASAP Rocky has signed to Polo Grounds/RCA Records. Here’s what he said of the deal:
“I feel great about the new deal; I believe it was destined and with a label like Polo Grounds & RCA behind me I don’t see anything stopping us,” stated A$AP Rocky. “I wanted go with the right partner that can help get a bigger platform to get me and my A$AP crew’s music and movement out. I expect to be in the same league as today’s most relevant artists, and there are just some things you can’t do on your own. The plan is to not only release great music, culture, and style for myself and A$AP worldwide, but to also be the next major artist/exec in the business and make great business men out of my brothers.”
Congrats…but where the fuck is your mixtape at?

Apple Giving away iPad 2’s in Honor of Steve Jobs Death (founder of Apple) .. http://goo.gl/FfRx4 i just went ahead & got 2..lmao
I fucks wit A$AP but I feel like people wouldn’t be checkin’ for him if he didn’t get that Drake co-sign. He’s either a hit or a miss for me, anxious to hear his new shit doe.
Dude is dope, but he signed a deal with no hit record, no radio, no promotion really of any kind. His hype is decent for a local artist but his deal is most likely some super shady 360 deal. It’s not like RCA is doing big things right now. Seems like he took the first deal he got, more power to him tho. Hope it works out for the brother, niggas just be too thirsty these days…
No longevity! Sad to stay it, gotta grow one day but until then enjoy your time homie.
son played hiself rca sucks worm pussy.he should have kept building his buzz up.
RCA probably offered him the most money upfront. Its damn sure not the first deal hes had. If his buzz is big enuff to tour with Drake, I’m sure as hell folks were trying to get at him.
I dont think hes that great from what Ive heard.
Its a good look. RCA is actully doing big things. Earlier this month they disbanded their subdinary labels Arista, Jive, and J Records. So all those artist or now under RCA Music Group to rebrand the label to make it more urban. They will have a roster frm 70-80 artist incluing Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Usher, Christina Aguliera, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Britney Spears, Bei Majeor, Alicia Keys, Ciara, Kings of Leon etc… RCA is a powerhouse
I’m happy for him man that was super fast as fuck
i just heard of dude this past spring or summer he
drops two videos and gets a deal that fast got damn!!!!!
it goes to show how much the internet can do for you and
how fast too………….
