You sound mad @ Nasir Jones! Nas does not need to work with any of the producers you mentioned because the difference between Nas and all the other industry rappers…is that Nas as one of the GREATEST Emcees NEVER had to depend on the name of producers to sell albums. Nas is a special breed of emcee and has been able to as you stated “cut it” for decades off of his lyrical ability to create stories through his music. There is a hundred thousand Nas clones but there is only one true Nasir Olu Dara Jones! Nas’ last three albums earned him two certified gold plaques (‘HHID & Untitled’) and the ability to tour at sold out arenas for 2 years off his collaboration album ‘Distant Relatives’. There is no “pure bullshit” when it comes to success. Nas is LEGENDARY…he works with who he wants.

@Really Get it straight Nas hasn’t been cutting it for years he been living off of a LEGACY understand. I been a Nas been all my life untill as of latley. Yes Nas put out Illmatic in ’94 which is a classic at its best, and also had some classic songs after that. But Nas lost what made him which is a nigga kickin knowledge over ILL beats. I don’t get goosebumps no more listing to Nas. Niggas bring up Nas cuz they still think he gonna make another illmatic. He lyrics have suffered latley and his beats are simply shit. Yes beats do matter in hip-hop. If u have a good beat and wack rapper u get Waka Flocka, if u get a wack beat and good rapper u get Nas, when u get a good beat and good rapper u get Jay-Z. Nas could of been bigger than Jay-Z if he had better beat selection.

Who gives a fuck if you don’t get “goose bumps” listening to Nas. Nas gets “goose bumps” every time Nike, Levi, ESPN call with an endorsement check and when his peers ask him to collaborate on their album. Nas can give two shits about your views of him not being “bigger than jay-z” because that has not prevented Nas from receiving 8 platinum albums (Illmatic, IWW, I AM, Nastradamus, Stillmatic, God’s Son, Street Disciple & The Firm), as well as 2 gold albums (HHID & Untitled). News Flash…a LEGEND is suppose to live off of their LEGACY! Nas Is a Legend due to his lyrical talents not for his beat selections. Sorry if Nas success upsets you but he is not a producer he is a GREAT poet/lyricist.

When did I say I was mad or upset about Nas success? When did I say Nas wasn’t succesful? Even tho Nas never made forbes list and Drake made it his rookie year (just sayin). Don’t forget Jay-Z was cuting Nas check for minute over there at Def Jam. All those platinum albums u named I fuck with except Streets Disiple which I spent my hard earn money on. Nas ain’t been on point since God’s Son. There only so many songs he can make talking about that back in the day shit, when theres new hungy niggas in the game now (J. Cole). And if he makes 1 more song about Africa I’m gonna go crazy, he talk about Africa so much you would think he a runaway slave.
