Come tomorrow, Alicia Keys will find her fifth studio album, Girl On Fire at the #1 spot on the Billboard charts. HHD estimates 161,038 units sold since last Tuesday. Finally tally tomorrow.
UPDATE: Alicia scores her fifth #1 Billboard with the final total of 159,000. Fire!
Congrats to her. The critics really hated on the song and album something vicious however her true fans supported and she continues her chart topping success. Now if we can just get the cornrowed Wu-TANG loving Ms. Keys back into the lab to drop some more music the hood can feel and relate to she just might win hearts back. Til then tho…

imo she has the best voice and is the best female artist of our generation, some whitney houston type shit. a few good songs on here that i gladly throw on the ipod. but this is a major flop for her. she has an incredibly extensive fan base, but they must not be feelin this or something. she’s an artist that kills the charts with every release, so the numbers will be disappointing, but hell, she can always hit the studio and release another one in a year or two.

Doesn’t mean it was a good album. Most people would say its terrible and it is as evidenced by the lead single. Saying that she has the best voice of this generation is purely asinine. What are you listening to? Her voice, especially live, is awful.

yeah i would say this is a flop for her. the last album she came out with (which was only 3 years ago) did major figures. like 600-700k . just watch how much Em’s next album sells, or Drake, or Jay z , or Wayne, or Beyonce bet they still do big numbers, she suppose to be an A-lister, so this was kinda a fall off. But her single did real good though.
