Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were back in New York this week and yesterday held a concert at YouTube’s headquarters. Following their performance, yours truly moderated a Q&A with the duo. If you haven’t done so, cop The Heist here.
You know on Youtube, they have a viewed count? I bet it say “0,” “naught,” “hilt,” “zip.” And, any synonym for zero.
And B.Dot defends this comment in 3….2….

Here’s what will happen with these guys, whoever they are, they’ll get XXL Freshman cover then we’ll never see them again.
^ correction: already had XXL Freshman cover, so refer to my “then” comment.
Stop it B.Dot, these guys are trash
^ *Shyne voice*
^ Go listen to your 2 chains and leave the grown up music for grownups.
J. Cole and Macklemore fan? Yup, you’re just a hipster college kid. What do you know about grown-ups?
No hipster, I just respect good music. These guys bring something different to the table and actually write good material. You can’t say the same about most the clowns out now.
they can be a little corny but I agree with ^
So we’ll never see them again?
These guys moved close to a 100,000 units with NO LABEL their first week and the youtube stats speak for itself. Your favorite artist signed to a major cant even sell that much.
These guys smashed the rap game with no label, get the fuck over it. The era of gangster music ruling the industry is done, this is the new normal.
There’s a big difference between one halfway-decent sales week and “smashing the rap game”. These guys are just a shitty, knock-off Atmosphere.
none of you niggas know anything about music if you think their trash they write real songs with real meaning go listen to that asap rocky bullshit if u want to
Trash? Can’t be serious. This is dope

good shit
Makes me proud to see real artist like this taking care of their fans, if you choose to support lyrical giants like 2 Chainz and Trinidad James so be it , guys like mackelmore stand for something and have a much broader fan base because of that
One of the best hip-hop albums this year and a happy to see you guys supporting them.
Good to see these guys gain more and more recognition. They’re doing their thing, and it’s dope in my mind.
good day b.dot
calling out mack and ryans marrige
