New Music: Gunplay “No Church”

Ew rats! Over DMX’s “What’s My Name”, Gunplay’s back with new music in support of his upcoming mixtape, Cops & Robbers. The tape drops in its entirety on the 18th.

Occasionally Gunplay will do something completely unexpected, laying down a classic verse (classic for MMG at least) and making his presence on the track shine like a hidden jewel, such as on Kendrick’s “Cartoon & Cereal” or even his standout performance ASAP’s “Ghetto Symphony”.
Unfortunately, this is not one of those tracks. I have hope for the guy….he’s a better lyricist than Chief Keef. He just gotta step his game up, start releasing consistently good music, and stop giving all his best verses away for features, and then maybe he’d be noteworthy in the game.

Saw this the other day…Gunplay and Ross in Boyz in the Hood video with Jeezy, Jody Breeze and ’em. I guess it was all cool in 2005.

This was a freestyle thats why its a little sloppy most of his music has been freestyle lately. Gunplay is dope though he is just a maniac, you see the potential every now & then like on cartoon & cereal black on black power circle & other tracks. He is a far better rapper than most of these chant, hook, adlib heavy niggas like waka future 2chainz.
If this is supposed to be a warm-up to a mixtape then I highly recommend Gunplay hire a publicity firm, ASAP!
