Hard to believe, but today marks the 13th anniversary of Big Pun’s passing. This afternoon on Hot 97, Mister Cee paid homage to Punisher with 60 minutes of his music.

@Jaguar, anyone that considers themselves a legit hip hop listener knows dude was out-rapping and out-flowing EVERYONE in his time regardless of his nationality.
And why WOULDNT hispanics hype him up? We finally had a latino rapper that could lyrically dominate a black mans game.

yea definitely alot of ignorant comments here, we could say that for Biggie, also Big L. That is besides the point, but if we want to just think about it, Prodigy, Nas and Eminiem have ALL publicily stated that Pun was an influence to them and one of the “shining sons” i could feel. Its beyond being latino, thats like saying we listen to Em because hes a whitey that can spit. Puns flow has to be top 5 in the modern Hip Hop era.
