Joey Bada$$ hasn’t graduated high school yet, but he tells FUSE that he’s been named Creative Director of Ecko Unlimited Clothing. He shows off his Pro Era line and discusses his relationship with founder Marc Ecko. Fuck school?

Once again dismissing education. Kids see this and feel that they too can become the next creative director with no significant connections. Congrats to him though, but how relavent is the title when clothing fads come and go. I recently found an old King and XXL mag from 2006. I was amazed how so many clothing trends and rappers have come and gone.

Yoo if u wanna drop school to think you are gonna be a Creative Director of Something… Good luck cos I definitely know that shit won’t work. Im a student in Graphic Design and I know what it takes to actually be a Creative DIrector of a brand. Joey Badass , Alicia Keys and even Swiss Beatz are in that position because of their name ( I only respect Swiss Beatz cos he is actually about his job !), Respect to Joey but he is nuffin but a name to a brand !
Out of all the kids that has actual style and know fashion/streetwear running thru Soho and they pick this guy with the doo doo hair and just throws on any brand because he sees other people rock it. his music is pretty cool but i would not look to him for fashion advice.
I’m definitely suspect about this. he has no real position there he’s just been given that title so he can try and come up through A$AP Rocky’s lane. I like Joey’s music but this seems mad contrived and like something schemed up in a back room at a label.
