Before his Rhyme Or Die album, Kay Slay’s releasing The Last Champion mixtape and he enlists Sheek Louch, Styles P and Vado for that gritty New York sound. Don’t act retarded now.

Starting to sound old.
If a writter wants to continue to make hip hop music into their 40s, I think the subject matter should be more mature and the rhymes more complex. Life is Good was a great project done buy an old man spittin old man bars with lyrical skill. Jay E comes to mind as does Mos, Scarface, Phonte, Rae, Gza, and of course The Abbot. Those are the old heads I listen to when I want some insight on what to expect out of life. Ironically Jay Z spit more grown man bars earlier on, but I don’t know what the fuck he’s doing now so it is what it is. Point is, I have enough old heads around my way tying to be on their second childhood, don’t really need the soundtrack. Like old head, if you’re not telling me something I don’t already know, what the fuck am I listening to you for? Real Talk.
Forgot to mention other old heads worth listening to. UGK, Roc Marciano, and Ka. But still…
FTW
Hurts me to say this was pretty much trash aside from Vado
