  3. Manny Faces says:

Why does EBro continue to insist Hot 97 is in the interest of “helping the culture”… They do nothing for hip hop culture, particularly the NYC hip hop community, unless it’s purely financially motivated. Which if that’s how it’s going to be, so be it, but stop fronting like you do ANYTHING to support hip hop culture or community. And with all due respect, until folks like Elliott call them on it (which of course he won’t), or until those who do get an equal voice to not be drowned out, this kind of kiss-ass-fest with no real talk will continue.

  4. Donn says:

Wow great discussion. I agree with Ebro. U dont deserve airplay cus u got a lil buzz. When u work hard to establish a brand that is the VIP of radio. U not getting in that easy. This is HIPHOP, u better put in work

You gotta work on not talking over people, Elliott. Other than that, this was a great interview. Funniest part was at the end when Rosenberg was talking about all those French Montana videos LOL

  16. sway-z says:

YN & Ebro talk over niggas too much to be having a coherent conversation with each other lol, but decent interview anyway

  17. The Facade says:

It’s weird to find out Rosenberg thinks B Dot is a mouth breather too…I really don’t know who’s side to be on they’re both so empty and self important…
    Elliott loves talking over people
Rosenberg is drilling the nail on the head calling you out for the behind the scenes French montana bullshit posts all the time…so much MMG filler promo it’s so excessive and ridiculous.
Elliott seems to think people are fans of him? Like they are interested in him and his life? Kind of seems like he has some mental problems to be perfectly honest. Just bizarre.

  18. Obama says:

Old farts aren’t the market.. Kids are.. These old farts don’t understand where things are actually going.. Radio is irrelevant already, soon to be dead.. Same as this little “debate”…

  19. (o_o) says:

this was a cool interview. ebro is right about people not having to just be dope, but actually work for their radio spot – BUT too much attention is still given to the wrong artists and way too much bad music is thrown at us day by day and the people are sick of it, but money/advertising/industry friendships are all getting in the way of what the people want because it’s not beneficial financially.

that bit about how many dudes just spit a sloppy 16, get high wyle out to it once then send that shit off to the people was funny but sadly true, especially with the people who are putting out freebies and hopping on features every other day

  20. (o_o) says:

Obama is right btw, I don’t EVER listen to radio – I find a dope mixtape and download it or album and buy it, throw it on my ipod and bump it. I don’t listen to the radio because I want to spend my time listening to music that I WANT to listen to, not music that’s chosen for me and that can be said for most people these days.

  25. StarFox64 says:

how do you go from b.dot “missing the essence of hip hop with du-rags” to justify liking macklemore so much…?

  26. StarFox64 says:

    wait im buggin …

  27. it’s a pretty good interview on the game and how marketing and music has changed with the new era. I feel like they’re a little incorrect as far as up and coming artists, yes there is a lot to weed thru but how much of an effort do you put in to really find those gems. I’ve heard a lot of artists that if they just had more they can do great things.
