Earlier this week, Master P made his debut on ESPN’s First Take. During his interview, he talked about Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports and decision to leave sports agency.

Haven’t you read the press release? It’s not Jay-Z it’s now spelled JAY Z.
Good interview p
Master P is always interesting to listen to.
I get what Master P is sayin about Jay not needing a co-sign as a sports agent, but it looks to me like that’s Jay’s style.
In the beginning u don’t need to try to be a big boss. Take baby steps, fatten up ur aasociates pockets as well as ur own to learn the ropes. This way he can see if he even likes the business before going all in.
Of course, this is all just speculation….

Nice interview.
Huuuuuuuugggghhhhhh
Master P always gives great interviews just like 50 Cent
Anytime there is a good interview of someone 50 cent doesn’t have to be mentioned
@tucq
exactly. jay always comes in humbly as an understudy, as to not “get in over his head,” allowing those who want to profit off his brand make profit, while he gets close enough to listen and watch and observe. he’s a student, first. but they should know that whatever his contract length is with CAA, he probably set it up because he plans to be able to, by the time it ends, go for himself. it’s better this way. it’s the same approach he took with roc-a-fella to roc nation, trying to build and build into the first commercially supreme black major label. at least, i think that’s where he’s headed.
and as far as being an agent, he said in several interviews that his biggest concern was making sure these athletes stop going broke, and stopped getting exploited by the current agencies. he’s lowkey trying to build and leverage black wealth, at the top.
I love Master P but I wish he was dressed somewhat more professinal… He’s in his 40’s for Christ sakes. Good interview though. Real good…
