Timbaland Apologizes To Chris Brown
The apologies keep rolling in. Following Timbaland’s statements regarding posthumous Aaliyah recordings, the producer apologized via Twitter for referencing Chris Brown’s collaboration, “Don’t Think They Know“. Oddly enough, Chris wrote a song last night called, “Go To War For Ya”.
In any event, here’s what Timbo had to say:

Timbaland doesn’t own Aaliyah. Like Missy doesn’t own Aaliyah. Its cool they used to work with them but their music belongs to the ppl, their voices belong to the fans and what is and what isn’t dope is a matter of personal preference. If the family licenses the vocals or cosigns and in no way feels disrepsected then there’s no reason why her vocals can’t be used. Stop being so damn sensitive Timbo. @Luke’scorner that’s true in a lotta cases, but I doubt that happened here. Every interview that Timbaland’s brought up Aaliyah, it’s clear that she meant a lot to him and that he feels protective of her memory and the music they made together. He’s already getting publicity for MCHG and for the new Timberlake album and for the new Nas record he’s working on so he didn’t “need” publicity. Dude was clearly speaking candidly in the first interview and then realized how it came off when it got edited and people just focused on what he said about Chris Brown
