Wu-Tang Clan Selling Secret Album

Million Dollar Bills Y’all?

A collection of unreleased songs will make up the Wu-Tang Clan’s next album, Once Upon a Time In Shaolin. The sole copy is hidden in the silver and nickel box.

According to Forbes, the clan plans to showcase the piece around the world. Visitors will be allowed to listen to the album for a fee before selling it up to millions of dollars. Says RZA:

“We’re about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of [modern] music. We’re making a single-sale collector’s item. This is like somebody having the scepter of an Egyptian king. The idea that music is art has been something we advocated for years. And yet its doesn’t receive the same treatment as art in the sense of the value of what it is, especially nowadays when it’s been devalued and diminished to almost the point that it has to be given away for free.”

  4. Eddy Eyad says:

Music is supposed to be available for all to listen. You don’t make something classic by putting it in a tin. Wu-Tang are legendary but I shake my head to this

  5. Hussle says:

shit…they better have the ghost of Pac and Biggie spittin throughout the album, with a hook from Aaliyah and a guest verse from Michael Jackson on it.

they should be ashamed for trying to sell a crumby album for a million bucks, how desperate can they get? these guys are millionaires already, fuck outta here with that bullshit. these rappers keep depreciating their music like this, this is why hip hop is in this state. keep holding on to your music you guys will be forgotten.

    1. Hussle says:

LOL RZA is multi-millionnaire. them other niggaz bums

  8. Gingerbread Man says:

If it was recorded in the 90’s and isn’t being released till now it must just be a bunch of extras from their other albums. I’m guessing they need the money to pay their broke members to do the new album.

  9. WilliamSTEEZO says:

This is a dope, and creative concept to release an album.

    1. GreenBergs says:

creative? yes, dope? no…the question is will this work like they want it to..?

  10. trymebiz says:

It is going to get leaked, I garuntee it.

  11. Michael Ibbett says:

I like Wu obviously, and do think this is kind of creative, but it isn’t like their Shit is some sort of scarce commodity, or delicacy. This would have been amazing to do for the Wu tang forever album though. Or an eminem album or something where a million people count the days until release. If he did it with unreleased MMLP/TES era songs or some shit.

  12. Aaron says:

    I could’ve seen Kanye doing this… But Wu-Tang?

  13. yeah says:

I’d like to take part but being in the south will probably give me a 0% chance getting to hear it , glad to see they really have been up to something major, perhaps

  14. Kevin Banks says:

RZA staying on top of the game, this is a revolutionary concept

  15. izzy says:

this really dumb idea tho … you know you can’t treat muzik like its a painting that you have to go 2 certain place to see and then go home … these old fools just don’t know how to capitalize on the internet trying to be creative and shit .. just give your fans that been riding with you what they want and release it for free

  16. PTK says:

makes sense. some of you are too short sighted and have never waited in line for a 12am release, some of you never spend money on music. jay, bey, kweli and others have moved on – the napster era is over. RIP

  17. Cool Vinny Testeverde says:

Raekwon still ain’t gonna be on it

  18. M.A.T. says:

I like the idea, but if the album isn’t good it’s going to look like a gimmick. Just my opinion…

  19. JD says:

Still better than the idea of ‘Detox’

  20. Coney says:

I must have a different definition of what a “secret” is than them
